July 27th & 28th, 2002


July 27th - Opening Ceremonies: 8:45 am main stage - Guests: Albert Klapstein MLA, Mayor George Rogers, Reeve Ed Chuboca


Demonstration events begin at 9:00 am. These are repeated in the P.M.

  • sawmill
  • wood splitting
  • Hercules saw
  • binding
  • threshing
  • strawbaling
  • antique farming, etc.

Corral Events: Sat & Sun

  • 10:00 - 10:30 Llama demos
  • 10:30 - 11:00 Sheep Dog demos
  • 11:00 - 12:00 Horse driving events
  • 12:00 - 12:30 Ladies Frying Pan Fling
  • 12:30 - 1:00 Sheep Dog demos
  • 2:00 - 2:30 Llama demos
  • 2:30 - 3:30 Horse driving events
  • 3:30 - 4:00 Ladies Frying Pan Fling


There will be a variety of displays of antique cars, trucks, tractors, stationary engines, working scale models, vintage motorcycles, etc. throughout the grounds.

The black smiths will have demonstrations including shoeing a horse.

A variety of vendors are in the Founders Gallery, Engine Building, and outside.

Sunday church service 9:30 a.m.


Tractor Pull Track Events

  • 12:00 - 12:20 Alberta Mounted Rifles
  • 12:20 - 12:30 Councillor John Whaley
  • 12:30 - 12:55 Tractor Square Dancing
  • 1:00 - 2:30 Parade
  • 2:30 - ????? Tractor Pull Events.

All tractors begin weighing in at 10:00 am.

Kiddies Activities -held in the Village Square

Petting Zoo - Sat - 10:00 - 5:00     Sun -11:00 - 4:00

Tractor pulls - 2:30 - 3:30 both days

Face painting, candle making, fish pond, old fashioned races, Pedal tractor for 1 - 3 yrs - various times throughout the day.

Barrel train in operation 9:00 - 5:00

Youth's Talent Show - Sat 11:00     Sun 3:30
This is held at the Entertainment stage. Pre-registration begins at 10:00 a.m.

Chicken supper - Sat at 5:00 pm You must pre-order supper by 3:00 pm at the Information Booth.

Beer gardens begin at 5:00 pm Friday & Saturday, followed by a dance at the entertainment area.

Concessions: two main ones, two snack bars, 1 french fry stand

Breakfast: 7:00 - 10;00 am both days

GAZEBO Accordion music throughout the day.
- 11:00 am Ladies Fashion Show

FREE rides on the train jiggers.

PLEASE NOTE: DOGS are not allowed anywhere out of the parking areas.
