Hello, I'm Christine Harrold, a member of the Leduc West Antique Society and author of this web page. I'm introducing myself here so you'll know who to blame if any of the following captions are in error - I'm afraid my memory is not what it ought to be. Included are a few photos from my own collection but again, I'm not always sure of the make or the model or when each photo was taken.

I would welcome your help in correcting mistakes or adding information about the pictures you see here. You are also very welcome to send me your own photos of club events, members' antiques etc. - and I'll add them to this page. I can be reached at aharrold@telusplanet.net

I seem to have a number of pictures taken at the parade in 1996. This is a 15 hp 1907 International Gasoline Traction Engine owned by Darrell and Ron Morris of South Edmonton.

Is is John Deere or is it a Lanz?

This picture is from the 1999 or 2000 show and raises the question, "What is it?" The information sheet you can see on its hood calls it a John Deere Lanz 30 but the owner's name is too small to read. Perhaps he or she would like to tell us the story behind this tractor.

The Edmonton Klondike Association invited LWAS to the Klondike Days Promenade. In the summer of 2000 one of the displays set up beside the Main Library was this pint sized Rumely Oil Pull.

Also at the Promenade that year was this tremendous collection of stationary antique engines and pioneer technology restored by Bud Yaholnitsky.

The heavy horse pull was an enjoyable part of our exposition for a number of years. Sadly, it will not be back.
