Leduc West Antique Society

Leduc West Antique Society 2007 Events

The weather was as hot and sunny as anyone could wish for this year's Exposition, and sunny, if not quite warm, for Country Harvest. Lorne Axell provided photos of the Expo - thank you very much Lorne! - and I took the pictures from Country Harvest. If you have any photos from either event you would like to see here I'd be pleased to add them to the page. Also, if you find any errors in the captions, or would like to add something to these descriptions, please feel free to contact me and I'll make the necessary changes.

Below are scenes from the 2007 Exposition

Be sure to check out the 2007 Country Harvest and the Tractor Pull results too!

There was a fine turnout of antique cars at this year's exposition. It included a number of beautifully restored Hudsons. This one is not only beautiful, it is fully roadworthy as well, having been driven to the show from BC.

This Hudson was originally purchased in Canada. The owner told Lorne that only Canadian parts were used in its restoration and that it took 33 years to restore it.

Here are a few more vehicles that caught Lorne's eye.

A 19xx Pontiac, right

A 1947 Olds Flathead 6, left.

A Ford model 'A' roadster pickup (1930 or 1931), right.

Lorne stopped by the tractor pull, watching this steel wheeled McCormick Deering tractor turn in a respectable pull.

All makes and models participated. Here a John Deere 620 is being urged forward.

Here a beautifully restored Minneapolis Moline sets off at a good pace, ...

... moves strongly past the stands despite the increasing 'weight' of the sled ...

... then begins to dig in at the far end of the track. Looking at the sled you can see the box that carries the weights has moved almost all the way forward, maximizing the drag on the tractor.
