Fall Harvest

The Leduc West Antique Society Fall Harvest 2012 was an outstanding success; with warm fall weather and hard work from our volunteers our last event of the year was enjoyed by all who attended.

The threshing, sawmill, and plowing demonstrations went twice per day and were enthusiastically received by the crowd.  The shed is full of wheat bundles in readiness for the 2013 show season.  The binder and threshing machine have been tucked away in their winter home.

We have continued to welcome wedding parties into the fall season along with school tours.  We recently had 54 students visit from the Richard Secord School in Edmonton.  These students were in Grade 5 and were a pleasure to have visit along with their parent helpers and teachers.

We are now preparing to honour our dedicated group of volunteers on October 27, 2012 at our Volunteer Appreciation Night.  This night is dedicated to the hard working volunteers that give of their time.  The Leduc West Antique Society operates solely on volunteer labour and is run by a volunteer executive and board of directors.  If you would like to be a part of our volunteer force, please call 780-986-5912.
