The Train Station

This replica train station was designed and built according to a 1914 book of plans that was used for a number of CPR stations across the prairies. The waiting room and ticket office are furnished in the style of the period and feature several displays. Adjacent to the train station are an actual 1909 caboose and a speeder, which you can take a ride on during events at the park.

It wasn't that long ago, really, that trains were the most efficient way to travel across the province or the country. The train station was that welcoming 'light at the end of the tunnel' after a long tiring trip.
The replica Train Station is one of the first things you see as you enter Alberta Heritage Exposition Park, located about 6 km north west of Leduc.
